So look into where you shop and how you can buy veggies and fresh food without unnecessary plastic packaging. \u00a0<\/em><\/p><p style=\"text-align:center;\"><em>#2 Second, use beeswax wraps, reusable tubs, jars or tins instead of clingfilm, for lunches and storing items.<\/em><\/p><p style=\"text-align:center;\"><em>#3 And third, start cooking things from scratch. It can sometimes be a bit more time consuming, but you\u2019d be surprised how much packaging it cuts out and it\u2019s healthier too.<\/em><\/p><p style=\"text-align:center;\"><em>#4 Choose one room in your house at a time, and think about how you can reduce plastic there. E.g. your bathroom: switch to shampoo bars and soap\/refillable cleaners. I found it easier to reduce plastic by breaking it down and tackling one bit at a time.<\/em><\/p><p style=\"text-align:center;\"><em>#5 Use any containers you can again. You don't need fancy Tupperware or trendy eco-products - use your old takeaway containers, ice-cream boxes, produce bags. They do the same job.<\/em><\/p><p style=\"text-align:center;\"><em>#6 This one is really specific, but if you have a pet think about changing your pet food. I was using about 4 or 5 single use plastic pouches a day, swapped to a different brand which was all tins\/paper packaging.
